Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld Episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. She appeared in the early 1990s when she was a regular member for Carol & Company with actress Carol Burnett. Barone additionally played the role of Carol Willick Ross Geller's ex wife in her first appearance on Friends. Jane Sibbett was her replacement when Barone quit Friends to take on a new role that demanded additional time. Barone was a part of The Jeff Foxworthy Show for The first season (1995-1996) and in The War at Home from 2005 to 2007. Barone was also a part of Daddio an American sitcom that aired in 2000. Barone is also a part of Desperate housewives The Curb Your Enthuasm Show, Quantum Leap Empty Nest Chicago Hope Castle Do Not disturb Ally McBeal Caroline In The City Party of Five, The Larry Sanders Show and Desperately Housewives. In 2004 Barone was awarded her 2005 Methodfest Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in the one of the feature films One Last Ride. The recurring character of Barone on the Disney Channel show Shake It Up was first introduced in the year 2010, three years after The War at Home finished it's running. She was played by Officer Georgia Jones, the mother of Bella Thorne's CeCe Jones. Matthew Glave, Barone's husband and actor Matthew Glave guest starred as J.J. Jones in two episodes.
